"Boundary Violation and the Relief Cycle," 2018

The initial reaction to the form's beauty is transformed by understanding the narrative in the reliefs. One observes the shocking and vulgar gestures and the silencing of a victim, while a completely different story unfolds. One revisits the central figure and now senses her vulnerability and her tense gesture covering and protecting herself. She is creating a boundary that should be respected. The work classical in concept yet contemporary in its message. This work addresses the problems of sexual harassment made public today.
